Thank you for your interest and for finding La Petite Chocolat!
Please let us introduce you to a whole new world of
chocolate experience coming all the way from France.
We believe that the cacao pods behind excellent chocolate require careful attention at every stage of the process, that the fine art of chocolate making requires of a chocolatier to care for the origin and treatment of selected cocoa beans : each variety bringing new flavours and delicate aromas.
In other words to care for the reality of growers and producers in Third World countries too often exploited by Global Food Industry networks.
That's why we have chosen KAOKA – a French reputable family business created by visionary Andre Deberdt, that has been working in close partnership with cooperatives in Sao Tome, Ecuador and Dominican Republic for over 15 years.
Committed to providing local producers with technology, skills and a guaranteed above-market price, Kaoka ensures growth, hope and a sustainable future for their families and the planet.
Because so much attention is given to the whole process, the equation therefore results in certified Fairtrade Organic Couverture Chocolates of outstanding quality that have won the heart of french chocolatiers like Paul Keruel whom Anissa was lucky enough to do her training with, and Patrick Roger, Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 2000, who has constantly been in the top ten chart of France's best chocolatiers since then.
The same couvertures have also been moulded into a fabulous range of certified organic fairtrade chocolate bars. Organic retailers throughout Europe and now New Zealand have completely fallen in love!
Both products (couvertures and bars) being proudly imported and distributed by La Petite Chocolat.
Kaoka chocolate is now available at Huckleberry Farms (Auckland), Chantal Organics (Napier), Liberty Market (Christchurch), Down to Earth Organics (Gisborne, New Plymouth), Wild Earth Organics (Tauranga) and soon at Commonsense Organics (Wellington) and Cornucopia (Hastings).
We would be very pleased to receive your enquiry if you too would like to be come a La Petite Chocolat stockist, or you can alternatively ask your local organic shop or grocer to become one!
